The first step is to call or email us, and make a consultation appointment. We will collect some basic information about your project, such as room type, design concept, and timeline. Then we'll schedule a meeting with you, at the location where the work will be done. 

At our first meeting, we'll discuss your project, and look at colors and styles. We'll bring a color deck, to help with color choice, as well as sample boards and a portfolio for design ideas. Alamo City Murals will create a finish that will fit your lifestyle and design concept. We will take notes, and measure the area, so that we can provide you with an estimate for the cost of the project.

The first consultation is complimentary if you live within the San Antonio area. If additional consultations are necessary, there will be a $50/hour fee charged to cover time and travel expenses. There will be a minimal charge for initial consultations outside of the San Antonio area. Please contact Aimee to discuss fee based on location.

Of course! If your project is new construction, we can look at the blueprint and design plans, or visit the job site, to determine the best course of action. The timeframe will fit within the existing build plan of your contractor.

It isn't necessary that a designer is working with you on your project. However, you may find it helpful — especially when it comes to design concept, furniture, fabric choices, etc. If you are searching for a good designer, we can recommend one to you.

A 50% deposit is required to schedule and begin the project.

Absolutely! Alamo City Murals will create a custom sample board or sketch for your project. We will not begin with the application until you are happy with and sign off on the sample.

There is a fee charged for sample boards and sketches that is payable before the project begins. However, if the project is booked, this entire amount will be subtracted from the final payment.* Fees amounts are as follows:

Sample Boards (18” x24”)- $150

*Please Note: Unless mentioned, sketches are rendered in pencil. For color sketches, please add amount shown above according to project size. “Pencil Only” amount will be subtracted from final payment amount. “Color Sketch” Amount listed is non-refundable. 

If possible, remove any breakable objects and art work, and store them in a safe location. Please have the furniture placed in the center of the room, and remove wall hangings from the walls. We can assist with this, if you need some help. We will cover the floors and furniture, to avoid any damage.  

Aimee will discuss what type of base coating is required. In some cases it will be necessary to have an area prepared, prior to beginning the project. Any preparation requirements will be discussed and outlined beforehand.

Yes you can. We will clean up at the end of each day, and store our supplies in a designated space, for as little disruption as possible.

Every project and every space is different. Typically, a single room takes between two to three days. The number of layers and difficulty will determine the exact length of the job. Drying time is also something that can't be rushed.

Since the sample board is typically a 1.5 ft. x 2 ft. board, you should expect slight variations. Existing texture can play a role in the overall look as well, but we try to get the sample as true to the project as possible. Keep in mind that this is hand finished unique artwork. We always make sure you are satisfied with the end result.

Alamo City Murals works primarily in San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas. We are willing to travel with in the South Texas area. Travel expenses can be rolled into your quote.

While Alamo City Murals is owned and operated by Aimee Brown, she has a talented team of artisans who provide additional skills and expertise (if necessary) to complete her conceptual design. 

Aimee creates your design and sample boards, and she will complete your project. However, she occasionally has assistants who aid in the projects.

A 50% deposit is due in order to book the project. An additional 25% will be due half way thru the project. The final payment remaining is due the day the project is completed.
